Busy week for Vaping in the news

The Indiana State Department of Health confirmed last week the first death in the state of Indiana as a result of lung injury in a patient that was linked to a history of e-cigarette use. The ISDH also noted that as of September 9th 2019, there are thirty cases being investigated with eight confirmed as having links to e-cigarette use. Most of the cases being investigated the patients are between the ages of 16-29 years of age.  You can read the official report here. Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and State Health Commissioner Kris Box, MD announced the states first plan to address youth vaping which includes a three-pronged approach including youth education, cessation texting tool and parent/youth media plan.
